Minimize Stress and Better Manage Time

Better management of time can help you minimize the stress you feel. Here are some tips to help you.

Question unrealistic deadlines. Likewise, don’t set deadlines for your employees that are unrealistic or, worse, that, loosely translated, mean, “Whenever you get around to it.” Loose deadlines are as useful as no deadlines.

Tidy your desk at the end of the day. A messy desk makes it hard for you to focus when you come in the morning.

Put a clock in your office. You will be more aware of how you use your time and you can always point to the clock and tell visitors, “Well, I guess we have to get back to work.”

Do not sit down if you are followed into your office. Stand and finish the conversation. As soon as you sit down, the other party will do the same—and a brief conversation will be unnecessarily extended.
